Editorial policy

The rules every review, shortlist and guide on this site has to follow.

Where facts come from

A fact appears on a review only if we found it on the supplier's own public pages or in a public record such as a regulator's letter, a business registry or a trust-site profile. When we could not confirm something we write "not published", "not stated" or "could not confirm" instead of filling the gap. Every review lists where we looked.

Research use only

Every supplier reviewed here sells materials labeled for laboratory research use only. Our pages talk about suppliers, their documents and their business practices. They never describe, suggest or assess any use of those materials in people or animals, and they carry no dosing, protocol or outcome information. Nothing on this site is medical advice.

No user reviews

We do not ask for, gather, display or mark up customer reviews, testimonials or star ratings from the public. The stars you see are editorial ratings produced by our published formula, and every page that shows them says so.

One formula for everyone

The formula and its weights live on the how ratings work page. When we change the formula, it changes for every supplier at the same time and the page records the date. No supplier is rated by a different rule.

Corrections and freshness

We accept corrections from anyone who can show evidence, and we apply them at the next rebuild. Each page carries its last-updated date. Suppliers that close stay on the site, clearly marked, because older recommendations elsewhere keep sending readers their way.
