American Research Pens review: Describes a thorough testing program and had not published a single lot certificate when we checked

American Research Pens describes a thorough testing program and had not published a single lot certificate when we checked, while charging about twice what a comparable pen supplier does. Wait for the first released lot before you order.

Quick take

American Research Pens sells one thing in one form: research peptides pre-loaded into pens. There are about ten items in the lineup, and the names will look familiar if you have shopped another pen supplier, because the coded names GLP3-R, GLP2-T, KLOW Blend and GLOW Blend appear here exactly as they do there, quoted in this review as the supplier lists them. The company says it ships from the United States and quotes a Pacific-time cutoff, but it does not publish a street address, a legal name or a founding date, so we cannot tell you where it is or how long it has been around.

We read the homepage, the COA page, the lab-reports page, the about page, the shipping page and the payment and billing policy, and we looked for a Trustpilot profile and for any FDA correspondence. The payment policy turned out to be the most detailed document on the site. The lab-reports page turned out to be the most important.

Here is the single fact to carry away. The homepage promises a certificate for every batch, and on the day we checked, the lab-reports page showed that no batch had one.

The testing program, and the empty page behind it

Give the company its due first. Few suppliers describe their intended testing as clearly as this one. The site lists HPLC-UV for purity, LAL for endotoxin, GC-MS for residual solvents and ICP-MS for heavy metals, and it states a 99%+ purity guarantee per batch. That is the right set of methods, written in the right order, and if the documents eventually match the description, this would be one of the better-documented pen ranges we track.

They did not match on 2026-10-19. Every product on the lab-reports page carried a lot number reading Not yet assigned and a certificate status reading Certificate pending first lot. The company says it will name its testing laboratory once the first lot is released, which means that at the moment no laboratory is named at all. There is no mass spectrometry result to look at, no endotoxin figure, no date, nothing a buyer can download and compare against a label.

Set against that, the homepage line about a COA for every batch reads as a promise about the future rather than a statement about the present. That is not the same as a false claim, but it is not something you can act on either. In practice, you should treat American Research Pens as untested until the first lot appears, and if you are inclined to order anyway, ask support by email for the lot certificate and the laboratory name before you pay rather than after.

What the pens cost and how they arrive

This is the premium end of the market, and the gap is not small. The BPC-157 10 mg pen is $249.99, the BPC-157 + TB-500 10 mg pen is $279.99, the GHK-Cu 100 mg pen is $189.99, the GLP3-R 10 mg pen is $299.99 and the MOTS-C 10 mg pen is $289.99. Our records show a comparable pen supplier listing a BPC-157 10 mg pen at $129.99, so you are paying roughly double here for the same format. A buy-one-get-one promotion was running when we looked, which changes the arithmetic considerably if it applies to what you want, so check the current offer before you judge the sticker price.

Shipping is domestic only. Orders paid before 4:00 p.m. Pacific ship the same business day, ground delivery takes three to seven business days, and two-day and next-day express are offered. Shipping is free over $250, a threshold a single pen clears on its own.

The payment and billing policy is unusually thorough and deserves a mention on its own. The company accepts cards, wire transfer, ACH, e-check and three cryptocurrencies, BTC, ETH and USDT, and it offers a discount for paying by ACH or wire. Crypto payments are final and non-reversible, so if something goes wrong with a crypto order you will be settled in store credit rather than a refund. If you want the protection of a chargeback, pay by card.

Returns suit the product. You get a refund or replacement if a pen arrives damaged, if the wrong item ships or if the order never arrives, with photos possibly requested. There is no refund for a change of mind once a pen is opened, and a mistake on your own order can only be corrected within three hours of placing it. Phone, email and support hours are published. There is no Trustpilot profile for the domain, no GMP or ISO certification is claimed, and we found no FDA warning letter naming the company. The research-use-only disclaimer is present.

Our recommendation

American Research Pens makes sense only for a buyer who specifically needs a pen format, wants a wide choice of payment methods including ACH and wire, and is willing to wait for documentation or to order without it. The published support hours and the clear billing policy are genuine conveniences.

It does not make sense for a lab that must see a certificate before purchase, that requires a supplier with a published address and legal name, that ships outside the United States, or that is watching its budget, since every pen here costs about twice what a comparable supplier charges.

Our advice is to bookmark the lab-reports page and wait. When the first lot is released and the laboratory is named, read the certificate and come back to the question. If the company does publish, the test panel it has already described would put it in good company, and the pen format has few well-documented alternatives, so this is a second look deferred rather than a permanent no. Until then, there are pen suppliers with documents already online, and vial suppliers with endotoxin and sterility data on every lot, often for less money.

The good

The payment and billing policy is unusually explicit, covering cards, wire, ACH, e-check and the cryptocurrencies BTC, ETH and USDT, with a discount for ACH and wire.

The planned test types are spelled out on the site: HPLC-UV for purity, LAL for endotoxin, GC-MS for residual solvents and ICP-MS for heavy metals, with a 99%+ purity guarantee per batch.

A phone number, a support email and support hours are published, and orders paid before 4:00 p.m. Pacific ship the same business day.

You receive a refund or replacement if a pen arrives damaged, the wrong item ships or the order is never delivered.

The bad

On 2026-10-19 the lab-reports page showed every lot as Not yet assigned or Certificate pending first lot, while the homepage promised a COA for every batch.

No testing laboratory is named; the site says it will name the lab once the first lot is released.

No street address, company name or founding date is published anywhere on the site.

Prices run about double a comparable pen supplier in our records; the BPC-157 10 mg pen is $249.99 against $129.99 elsewhere.

Cryptocurrency payments are final and non-reversible, and there is no Trustpilot profile for the domain.

Should you order here?
